A great way to strengthen your job interviews is to put energy into personal projects. Not only are personal projects a great way to practice and refine your skills, they also show hiring managers that you are passionate about what you do. If you can show them work that you’ve done outside of school or other work, it shows that you have inactive, a spirit to learn, and a love for the field. That is something that grades and work history alone can’t fully communicate. So, if you have done work like this, use it to your advantage in interviews. Incorporate it while answering questions when you can. If you haven’t done any work like this on the side, there’s no time like now!
