Stress Management Exercises

Sometimes you have days where there seems to be no end to the work you have to do.  The only other thing piling up on your desk other than work is your stress level.  If you’re looking for something that can give you a little instant relief, try some of these helpful tricks:

Get Active

Nearly any form of exercise or physical activity can act as a stress reliever.  It pumps up your endorphins and refocused your brain.

Meditate

Quiet meditation allows you a moment to get rid of the seemingly endless stream of thoughts that are crowding your mind.  What’s great about meditation is that you can do it anywhere, even at your desk!

Laugh

A good sense of humor never hurt anyone and it can definitely help you feel better when the going gets tough.  Laughing has similar effects to physical activity, creating a relaxed and re-energized feeling.

Journal

Writing out what you’re thinking an feeling can be a great release of any pent-up emotions.  Try and make the writing as mindless as possible–just let it happen.  Once your done, feel free to toss it or save it for reflection.
