Last week our Nashville team participated in our Giving Back at the Salvation Army. We have worked with the Salvation Army in the past and always enjoy being able to serve with them. During this trip we worked by cooking in the kitchen and were able to serve the homeless a spaghetti dinner in downtown Nashville. We served under the Jefferson Street Bridge.
Prior to serving dinner some of us cooked the food and the rest helped out with various needs the Salvation Army had. We painted baseboards and sanitized toys in the kids playroom. Although many of these tasks seem mundane, they are crucial to the everyday workings of Salvation Army. This organization serves so many people through Nashville, so it is special to be able to help even it a small way.
