Try this prompt: You are a skilled resume writer, and I need your help to update my resume. Based on standardized formatting for the IT industry, you will create an outline for my resume and include 3 to 5 highlights I should consider for each section. Confirm you understand.
Feed the AI tool of your choice all the relevant information about the role and the company. Share your existing resume and include any updated information. Ask the AI to help you tailor your skills, experience, and other resume content to suit the job you’re applying for and the company that’s hiring. This can help you reframe how you present yourself in new and interesting ways that will appeal to hiring managers.
Try this prompt: You are a skilled resume writer, and I need your help to tailor my resume to match the company’s job listing and culture without changing my job history or experience. I will share three things with you—the job listing, the company’s “About” page, and my existing resume. After you have learned from those, you will then populate your response.
