Last week, our Atlanta employees had the opportunity to serve our city. On Tuesday and Wednesday, employees of the Atlanta branch spent time working at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Our Atlanta team divided up into two groups: half went Tuesday afternoon and the other half went on Wednesday. This allowed us to spend our time working hard rather than having too many people and wasting time. We spent time assisting customers with questions, helping load and unload items into/out of trucks, labeling products, and stocking items on the shelves.
At the ReStore, everything is donated and the funds received from the purchase of those items are used to cover the costs of the building materials for Habitat for Humanity homes. Spending our time at the store allows them to be more profitable and efficient. While we performed simple tasks, it is always great to know you are spending time to help such a worthy organization!
