Relationships with people are at the heart of our business and one of the relationships IDR continually fosters is with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This miracle-working facility is on a mission to understand, treat, and defeat childhood cancers and other life-threatening diseases.
St. Jude’s was established in 1962 and is renowned as one of the premier medical establishments in the world. Some of their key initiatives include pioneering medical trials, providing freely available resources, and developing the nation’s largest immunotherapy research program, among several other programs making a significant impact on children’s diseases.
In keeping with our core values to Make It Happen and Go All In, we have partnered with St. Jude to generate funds so the organization can continue to enhance their life-saving efforts. Our values are embedded in who we are as a company, the level of work we do, and the kind of work we want to be involved in outside of our day-to-day.
Our offices in Denver, Dallas, and Atlanta all attended the walk/run in their cities this year, and they were a smashing success. As a team, we raised an impressive total of $6,610 to contribute to the work at St. Jude. However, we didn’t stop there! IDR matched these donations, dollar-for-dollar, bringing our total up to $13,220! Every penny goes directly to the Children’s Research Hospital to advance their work and help make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
Due to Hurricane Helene, we could not move forward with the Nashville Walk/Run fundraiser. This event will be rescheduled by the St. Jude organization for a later date that’s more appropriate.
In becoming a Partner in Hope with St. Jude’s, our team had the opportunity to regionally collaborate toward a greater cause. Aside from our financial goals for St. Judes, IDR is committed to its philanthropic ventures by dedicating time outside of the office to helping others. Team members worked together through social media outreach and in the office to raise awareness and funds toward our overall goal.
