In 1998, IDR began as a small company in the basement of our founder’s home. Fast forward 25 years, and we now have offices in four major cities: Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, and Nashville. We’re proud to say that IDR has made some incredible triumphs over the past two and half decades and is now a well-established, successful staffing agency.
As we reflect on our journey and celebrate 25 amazing years of business, we are not only grateful for the milestones we have achieved but the incredible people who have helped us along the way.
Growth of IDR
After working out of Atlanta for a little under 10 years, we decided to branch out to other markets to better support our clients. In 2007, we opened the Nashville market, which marked a significant turning point for IDR. We went from operating with around 15 employees to doubling in size to 30 employees by the end of the year.
Two years later, in 2009, we opened our Dallas office, which was a strategic move to continue to expand our presence in the South. And then in 2018, we expanded into the ‘Mile High City’ of Denver.
Today, we have 170 internal employees on our team, which has grown organically, and support our clients nationwide.
Became An ESOP
In 2010, IDR became an employee-owned company. IDR becoming an ESOP allowed us to provide our employees, as well as consultants, the opportunity to earn shares in the company just by being an employee. This was an exciting moment for IDR as it aligned with our commitment to building a culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration.
Our employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) enhances the way we do business. Because our consultants and employees are owners, they swing for the fences. They recognize that they have a stake in our future, take ownership of delivering one-of-a-kind solutions, and have the power to solve challenges faster. IDR’s ESOP share price has grown on average 35% over the past five years.
Expanded Our Services
Because of the impact of the pandemic, there were company layoffs globally, which included many of IDR’s competitors. During this time, IDR made a pivotal choice and commitment to our employees that we would not be doing layoffs. IDR focused on employee training and development during the pandemic. Our employees were focused and ready to meet our clients’ needs, which ultimately, led to the expansion of IDR and the creation of our sister company, IDR Healthcare.
The idea behind IDR Healthcare was started when a healthcare system that we serviced from a Technology standpoint asked IDR if we could help with staffing nurses. Our employees were ready to respond to the challenge as we felt that we could be the positive change that we believed the industry needed. What started with a group of passionate individuals, has led to the creation of a growing company.
Since January 2020, thanks in large part to the expansion of IDR Healthcare’s staffing division, IDR has grown our consultant headcount by nearly 80%. In response, IDR’s internal team also expanded to meet the increased demand for healthcare staffing services, growing at a fast rate.
Held True to Our Values
We have also continued to hold fast to our company values: Make It Happen, Be A Boss, Never Settle, and Go All In. Our employees living out these values have allowed us to receive many awards over the years for Best Staffing Agency to Work for, Best & Brightest, Fastest Growing Agency, and Best of Staffing Client and Talent 10 Year Diamond Awards. None of this would be possible without our growing, dedicated team and clients.
As we look back on our long journey, we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved. We are extremely grateful to our team members, clients, and partners who have supported us every step of the way. IDR would not be where it is today without them. Cheers to 25 years! We are excited about the future and can’t wait to see what the next 25 years hold!
