This month our Dallas team spent their giving back day at the Genesis Women’s Shelter. We recently shared why we give back, but working at Genesis was just another reminder of how much we get when we help others. These women and children have been in abusive situations, yet they have so much love to give.
We spent our time with the children while the mothers were in group therapy. We used our hour for fun activities including cooking (we made mud pies with chocolate pudding, gummy worms and oreo’s!) and arts and crafts. Although they have been in some rough situations, these kids have so much joy when they are getting to just be kids!
